Welcome to Ledgivo! Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. This Privacy Policy outlines what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you use the Ledgivo mobile application and the related services.

By continuing to access and use Ledgivo, you acknowledge that you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect certain data from you to run Ledgivo seamlessly.

A. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

Our application uses an offline-first architecture. This means the majority of your data is generated, processed, and securely stored only on your device.

  • Business & Financial Data: Sales receipts, daily ledgers, expenses, specific inventory lists, and customer/supplier balance sheets are stored locally in an encrypted database format (using SQLCipher).
  • We do not have default access to this data. This data only leaves your device if you interact with the Cloud Backup feature or the AI Business Assistant.

B. Cloud Backups & Cloud Storage Data (Optional)

If you opt to use our Cloud Sync functionality:

  • We collect account credentials such as Email address and Password.
  • We securely back up your encrypted financial and inventory database to our protected servers (or via your Apple iCloud/Google Drive).

C. Permissions Required

To access full feature capabilities, the app may request the following device permissions:

  • Microphone: Requested so you can use Voice-To-Text AI input features. Voice recordings are processed transiently for transcription.
  • Camera: Needed exclusively to attach pictures of receipts or strictly for barcode scanning within your inventory setup.
  • Contacts: Used strictly on-device to let you quickly insert existing clients from your address book into Ledgivo. They are never continuously downloaded nor sold to third parties.

D. Analytics & Advertising Data

  • Analytics: General device specs (e.g., OS version, Device type, and minimal crash logs) to track stability and improve Ledgivo functionality.
  • Advertising IDs: Device Identifiers (like Google Advertising ID / iOS SKAdNetwork) used by Google AdMob, solely for showing banner and fullscreen ads on free versions of the app.

3. How We Use the Information

The data collected explicitly facilitates the improvement and performance of Ledgivo services:

  • Providing and maintaining your Ledgivo dashboard, including synchronization.
  • Delivering personalized insights via the AI Business Assistant.
  • Communicating with users regarding potential updates, features, or support requests.
  • Monetizing the App securely (via Google AdMob or in-App purchases to "Remove Ads").

4. Third-Party Services

Ledgivo leverages reliable third-party providers with proven privacy agreements that act functionally to support particular aspects of the app. The information provided to them is limited to what's required for the module to run:

  • Google AdMob: Advertising partner to display Ad Banners (if you are on the free version).
  • Stripe / Apple Pay / Google Play Billing: Securely handles subscriptions or one-time transactions for premium features.
  • AI Service Providers (e.g., OpenAI / Gemini API): Your Voice inputs or specific "Ask Anything" analytical questions are sent to an LLM provider and immediately transiently processed to return a response without long-term storage or unauthorized training.

5. Security Protocols

We deploy industry-level security measures to protect your Ledgivo application content:

  • SQLCipher Database: A heavy encryption algorithm protects the offline Ledgivo database locally on your phone.
  • Biometrics Lock: We offer built-in Face ID / Fingerprint integrations so an unauthorized local user cannot view your financial data via your phone screen.
  • However, please remember no method of transmission or electronic storage guarantees 100% invulnerability.

6. Your Rights and Data Deletion

Users maintain total sovereignty over their local and online information.

  • Local Data Deletion: By simply deleting the local Ledgivo App, all local encrypted data is completely removed.
  • Cloud Account Deletion: You have the right to request deletion of your online synced data and the associated email account. This can be directly performed within the app settings or via sending a deletion request to support@ledgivo.local.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Our team reserves the right to modify or adjust this Policy occasionally. You will be notified of these alterations within the app interface alongside updating the highlighted "Effective Date". We advise our users to recurrently check this document for assurance.
